As part of Dance Reading, Reading 2016: Year of Culture, Reside Dance C.I.C. developed a work in progress,
Home, that was showcased as part of ROOTS Development Night on 25th November and JUMP! on 26th November at St. Bart’s Theatre, Reading. The company performed establishing their individual cultural identities in the site, sharing them with others to develop a sense of belonging and feeling of togetherness across the group and embodying and developing connections to the history and functionality of the site as a group in order to develop feelings of home. Reside Dance C.I.C. performed
Home at Longfield Hall, London on 16th December 2016 as part of the MCDC Night. They used the performance as an experiment to see if it is possible to develop a sense of home in a new building that they have never encountered before.
